I buy some of my clothing online at discount websites, but find the quality varies widely.

Have you found any online discount shops that offer consistently high quality casual wear?.

It is impossible to fight a website that offers consistent quality. Most of the websites have different manufacturers hence it is impossible to get a constant quality in their product.

The best way is to read the product reviews from the customers before buying them.

Are you asking for clothing items for yourself or for re-selling?
I have some experience with clothing items for re-sale.
It involves working with a distributor and some liquidators.

I have not checked out any online discount clothing stores but I would think there may be something on Ebay. Locally, we don't have but a few discount stores and its hit or miss with what you find. Most places only take clothes that are in good condition but some of the clothing is very outdated in styles so I never know what I'll find when I go out looking for bargains.

Oh I would be buying this clothing for myself. Of course, if reselling was lucrative, and handled through drop shipping, I might sell for profit.

just to give you an idea, I was able to purchase some close-out jeans and dress pants (ladies) at $5 a piece, but I had to buy 500 pairs

ok, so I paid $1000+ but I am reselling them on eBay at about $14 a pair.
each pair has retail tags on them, and are priced between $35 - $120.

I do not buy much online. I buy from several discount places local.

I have never bought from discount places online. I tend to watch for stuff to go on clearance after each season. You can find lots of stuff--top quality for cheap that way.
