Default Models vs mannequins

We just launched a new fashion e-boutique and wondered how online shoppers prefer clothing to be displayed.

Do you prefer clothes to be modelled on a real person or a mannequin? Does one method influence you to buy over the other? Is one more aethestically pleasing when browsing through pages?

Thanks for any comments, suggestions, and overall feedback you can provide. This will help us improve our site and hopefully save money down the road.

I prefer seeing the clothes on a real person and not a person who is a size 0. I want to know what something will look like a person who breathes and indulges in a cup cake every so often. It doesn't do me any good seeing a dress on a mannequin when I move around. I'd like to see if there will be problems with it as I walk or bend over.

I will prefer clothes to be modeled on a real person. If the clothes are nice then it would be attractive. Further taking pictures of the cloth in different stills would be a boost to the cloth.

I would love to see a gallery being dedicated to each cloth displayed there.

I not only prefer clothing be worn by a model, I also want to see that outfit in the larger sizes. If the clothing comes in a size 12 or 14, I want to see it on a size 12 or 14 model!

I agree on a real body person would be so much better.
Id actually liek to see women with my body shape so I can see what it will really look like and no airbruishing.

Thanks so much for the feedback. This really does help!

The overwhelming response I've been receiving is on par with the forum: real models, please! I'm rather pleased to hear this as I have spent a small fortune on photo shoots to portray real women in these fabulous clothes and I would've been quite upset with myself if the focus group demanded mannequins/dressforms.

I will continue to use my gorgeous models for newly arriving shipments. Whew!
