Then you definately wouldn't pay for a Birkin.

A Birkin can be from $7000 to $200,000.

Hermes Birkins are ridiculously expensive... but I still think that if I had the money I would buy one! "If" being the operative word in the sentence

I could not afford to spend more than £100 either. If I became a wealthy woman somehow I would spend more.. but this works for me.

I love Prada handbags. I can't afford to buy one for myself because it costs a lot of money. Thanks to my aunt. She bought one Prada Bruciato lady handbag for me and it cost almost $550. It's a cool bag. I feel like a celebrity everytime I use it in the office.

Any hand bag regardless of the high quality brand cannot be more than 800$. If any handbag is more than the cost involved it may not be economical to buy them.

Since many of the quality handbags can be purchased with in 800$.

There is no way I would pay that much for a handbag even if I had the money. Just no way at all.

Spending to much to a handbag is not practical because bag style change every season.. You can spend your money in different way.. Like buying clothes or other things..

I love handbag..... I think he paid too much. It depends on which handbags he bought though. Size and material (leather?) can need more money. I recently both a cloth one bargained from 190 to 35rmb. Also bought a big leather Tod's handbag a while bag and paid about 180rmb.

I personally think pay what you can afford. There are some fantastic designers out there and to have some killer accessories you don't need to take out a second mortgage. My personal favourite is Lollipops Paris. There's a UK web site coming soon... I'm so excited

I personally think that if you are going to spend a great amount of money on a handbag it has to be a 'timeless' piece, that not only you won't fall out of love with but will stay fashionable for years to come and you will get your money’s worth of use out of it.

Has anyone thought of renting designer bags?

I rent out designer handbags and accessories.. everything from Louis Vuitton.. Mulberry.. Anya Hindmarch etc. A lot of our customers cannot afford to spend the ridiculous price tags that come with these bags, but with renting it's a fraction of the cost and you can change the bag as often as you like.. maybe something for you all to think about before taking out an over draft

Its doesnt matter how much you spend on a bag as long as the quality is good. A leather handbag will last a lifetime but they dont have to be boring!

While I agree buying leather is a good investment (having a million items in my bulging wardrobe) I don't think buying items using synthetics should be seen as a secondary option. Some of the looks that can be created can add so much to an outfit without melting my debit card. My latest addition is this lovely faux leather item from Lollipops Pairs. i checked that the most you can pay for a bag is $9000. i think that is too much. usually i pay $50-$200 for a bag. always change my bag.
