My work environment was a little lax as well. I often wore slacks and sweaters. This made for a more comfortable environment

I'm an accountant and our dress is business and casual on Fridays. It's saturday now and I'm in my sweats and a sweatshirt. I just got back from the mall- There I wore jeans and a sweater.
For work it's suits or dress slacks and sweaters.

Since I work both at home and small part time job outside as a merchandiser. The attire is work style. Jans in kaki or fresh blue or black and they issue us an Izod with the company name.I ahve the option of not wearing teh izod, but I found that jean trousers and babydoll office style tops work well and look professional. Rightnow a T shirt and exercise pants......

I wish I could wear jeans every day to work. I don't see why we can't. Hardly no visitors come into the office- and when they did- we would dress business like. It's been addressed so we might get our way!

Same here.. There's no dress code here in our company, so I can wear anything I like..

Currently, I'm wearing a shirt, pants, and jacket..

Work etiquette isn’t always about the way we say and do things and how we behave. Wearing the ‘proper’ clothing is also a major part of correct work etiquette. These days however, the word ‘proper’ can be perceived very differently from one company to another and, even within companies themselves; they can often take a different attitude to work attire depending on various circumstances, for example, the day of the week – e.g. ‘dress down Fridays’. Industries, too, often have very different expectations about what constitutes proper work attire.

Appropriate office attire is whatever is accepted in your office by your supervisors. A good piece of advice, especially to someone just starting their career is to look at what others in the same office and in similar positions wear, and dress accordingly. In my own dealings in the professional and business world, a sleeveless top would be considered a little "under-dressed" - a little too casual.

Sleeveless tops might be inappropriate in an office environment. I would think that you would be chilled by the air conditioning if you were sleeveless also

Sleeveless tops are ok in office environment if you do not have any dress code.

Office clothes can be sooo dull but a fab statement piece of jewellery can brighten any white shirt or grey suit.
